Meet the Shubi Sisters, Soomean and Jihwon: Two ambitious, shoe-loving women who invented the Shubi for women who are smitten for their shoes (just like me!). Originally created to provide a way to tote shoes around town with style and class, the Shubi is perfect for women with fast-paced lives. Whether you’re heading across town to an upscale art show or heading to the gym, the Shubi allows you to be stylish while carrying your extra pair of shoes.
Living in Manhattan, Soomean always carried an extra pair of shoes for commuting to and from work. She, like many city girls, would tote her shoes in flimsy, beat up, plastic, grocery bags because she could not find suitable shoes bags to tuck them in. Soomean complained to her sister about not being able to find cute shoe bags, and Jihwon (who lives in San Francisco) mentioned that she had the same problem during her travel.
The sisters decided to create a fashionable solution to this problem. Thus, the Shubi was born to give lovely shoes the care and rest they deserve when they are not pounding the pavement. The Shubi Sisters hope to bring fashionable shoe bags to the mainstream.
The Shubi Collection includes three styles of the Shubi bag: one-piece, two-piece and “Lil Shubi”. The company also offers cute Shubi shoe stuffers. In the near future, Shubi bags for electronics will also be available.
Shubis are not only good for carrying your shoes! There are many other uses, including using it as a cosmetic bag, toting a wine bottle to a party, packing baby toys so they don’t get lost in your diaper bag, and more.
