Bernardo Leopard ‘Biker’ Flats

September 14th, 2008

These shoes may be the first pair of flats I’ve owned and LOVED!  They are produced by Bernardo, a shoe company that has been around for more than 60 years and has adapted its classic styles to the times.  Sophisticated and comfortable, these pretty leopard ‘Biker’ flats are part of Bernardo’s Fall ’08 Collection.  I love how the leopard print, red bows and roses contrast with the little metal studs on the toe.  They are perfect for wearing with a black or brown pencil skirt or capris.  How do they look?

About Bernardo Footwear: Bernardo is a maker of better grade women’s footwear and handbags. Founded in 1947 by Bernard Rudofsky, Bernardo has a rich heritage that lives on to this very day.  After living and working in Florence, Italy for nearly 20 years, Bernardo designers Dennis and Lynne Comeau relocated to Santa Fe New Mexico in August of 2006.  All Bernardo products are conceptually designed, and are crafted by hand with great attention to detail, in order to insure quality, comfort, fit, and value.  Bernardo is most famous for it’s classic and timeless “Miami” sandal (U.S. Patent No. D 487,183 Trademark ®). Dating back to the company’s beginning, the “Miami” sandal was a favorite of the jet set, and Lilly Pulitzer crowd during the 60’s and 70’s. Yet still today, the “Miami” sandal is as new and fresh as ever before.
