Today I practiced the procurement of pumps; that is to say, I pimped them! I sold a pair of my used red pumps…to a guy…for himself. He told me in his emails that he “has a thing for shoes”. Now I have nothing against a man who likes heels. To each his own. After all, women’s shoes are incredibly beautiful and sexy.
I had posted them in the online local classifieds for $15. I agreed to meet him in in the corner of a parking lot between our locations.
I parked next to his vehicle and walked over. I noticed he was wearing all-black clothing, shades (on a cloudy day), driving a black SUV, and looking all around very stealthy. Good thing I brought my friend along, in case of any foul play. He rolled down his window, shot me a quick smile and handed me the cash as I placed the shoes in his passenger seat. Done deal. I felt like I was part of a “drug” deal, helping this guy get his fix, but I was in no position to ask questions. After all, I had just collected $15 to put toward a new pair of shoes!
When I got back into the car, my friend and I discussed the situation. It quickly became apparent to us that he probably wasn’t going to wear the heels – he had never asked me for the size!
