I just got back from the gym, but thanks to my new Nike LunarGlide+ running shoes, it wasn’t just “another workout”. Nike’s new LunarGlide+ running shoes are, in one word, awesome. They are lightweight and super flexible, and I noticed a definite extra bounce in my step when I put these on. In fact, I felt so comfortable that I continued on for an extra 2 miles. It was like I could run forever! Okay, well maybe not forever…but the LunarGlide+ shoes took my running to the next level. And then there’s the aesthetic appeal. The silhouette is actually quite stylish, and the shoe is constructed of suede and fabric materials. The gray upper of this sneaker is accented with orange highlights found on the tongue and heel tab. The reflective orange and silver color accents make these ideal for running outdoors. Also, a slot under the insole allows room for a Nike Plus sensor.
So…why are they so comfortable?
You can thank Nike’s Dynamic Support technology. Nike has developed a new shoe technology called Dynamic Support, a midsole system constructed of lightweight LunarLite foam that helps adapt to the change in a runner’s stride. What makes it unique is the fact that the LunarLite foam provides superior cushioning and significant energy return, while traditional cushioning systems only absorb energy upon impact. The women’s model has extra foam under the heel and stretchy material at the toes to accommodate the wider forefeet we women tend to have (thank you, Nike).
