Shop Your Own Closet With Couture Shoeboxes

October 15th, 2009

I’ll admit it – I’m not a naturally organized person.  Blame it on the fact that I’m a Cancer, or that I’m a left-handed “creative” type…whatever the reason, I need help in the organization department.  I’ve been storing my shoes and boots on shoe shelves and in cubbies, but I admit it can still get a little messy (especially now that I’ve outgrown my shelf space).  Thank goodness I stumbled across Closet Fetish Boxes!  Rachel Zoe just reviewed these in her newsletter today as well.  I love them because they help us recessionistas shop our own closets.  The neatest thing about them is the fact that they have a little 4×6 frame on the side so you can take a picture of the shoes/draw the shoes/list the contents in the box.  So no more digging through the closet trying to find that perfect pair!

Closet Fetish is a line of luxury shoe boxes designed to offer a stylish and functional alternative to organizing your closet. The boxes are constructed out of high-gloss extra sturdy cardboard, and once you get them assembled, it’s clear that they will last for years.  However, they are harder to assemble than you might think!  It took me a few minutes to snap one together.

The couture shoeboxes come in a variety of sassy colors like Stiletto Red, Lavender (pictured here), Chocolate Brown and Ballerina Slipper Pink (a favorite of celebrity client Denise Richards!)  Below I’ve taken a picture of my Burju ’2Way’ Shoe on my lavender Closet Fetish shoebox and then placed it on display in the 4×6 frame:

Available for purchase at www.closetfetish.com, the shoeboxes are sold in pairs of two for about $30. For those wishing to upgrade their entire shoe collection, Closet Fetish offers the “True Shoe Diva Deal,” which includes 36 boxes for $399.
