It’s easy to install a charm!  Simply insert the charm into the charm lock key hole, hold the charm lock firmly, push down and turn clockwise 1/4 turn to the right to lock the charm into place.

Change It

To take off a charm, hold the charm lock firmly.  Push down on the charm and turn counterclockwise, 1/4 turn to the left, to unlock.  Remove and replace with another charm!

I received a pair of the black Charmmis flip flops with white painted flower charms for review.  The flip flop base reminds me of the wildly popular Havaianas flip flops, but with a more thickly padded sole.  The rubber toe post and strap is comfortable and there is enough traction on the bottom of the sole to prevent slipping around.

When Los Angeles-based LAMO Footwear asked me if I would be interested in reviewing a pair of shoes from their collection, I was a little hesitant.  Not because I had never heard of the brand, but because it is pretty warm here in Pittsburgh and summer is fast approaching, and I couldn’t imagine slipping my feet into anything sheepskin.  However, I took a look on their website and discovered they have a whole collection of trendy, laid-back sandals that are perfect for summer.  I chose to give the Garden Party sheepskin sandals a try and share with you my thoughts.

Jeffrey Campbell Pixie Hair Wedge

Ahh, Jeffrey Campbell…no one will ever be able to accuse you of creating boring shoes.  In fact, most of them are drop-dead amazing and so fun to wear.  The Lita (in a variety of colors and patterns) has been featured on many blogs and is a staple in every fashion lover’s closet, with its 5-inch heel and 2-inch platform.  However, these scruffy Jeffrey Campbell Pixie wedges could benefit from a razor, or at least one of the many ghd hair straighteners available today.  Something needs to happen with all that shag!

These aren’t the only hairy shoes that have become popular over the past few years.  For example, Yves Saint Laurent made a mohawk look fashionable when the fashion label added a strip of goat fur to the back of the heel on the classic Palais pump.  It gives a whole new meaning to “business in the front, party in the back”!  I’m kinda loving these, maybe because the hair is a little more…subtle?  Not sure if it is possible to have subtle hair on a shoe, but we’ll go with that.

These wetsuit-like summer booties were brought to my attention by a fellow shoe connoisseur, and I’ve got to say that Christian Louboutin may have taken the athletic trend a little too far.  Christian Louboutin’s new yellow neoprene ‘Snorkeling‘ ankle boots are just one example of how designers and fashion followers are diving into scuba-inspired shoes, clothing and accessories this season.

These neon booties are fun conversation-starters for the pages of Vogue and Marie Claire, however I find it difficult to imagine wearing them in real life.  I love bold pops of color, but when you add the strange material, white pull detailing and toe ring, these shoes appear more comical than fashion-forward.

When you think about it in those terms, it’s quite funny to think what it has evolved into. It’s certainly a lot more fun (and addictive) in its present incarnation – who would have guessed we’d be able to buy shoes with the click of a button?!

Apart from fire, the wheel and penicillin, the Internet has probably changed the way we live more than any other invention. Just think about all the things you can do online. From comparing prices on those gorgeous Nine West shoes to connecting with people from all over the world, the Internet really does have it all.

How has the Internet changed how you shop?

There comes a time every few months when a girl needs to revamp her shoe wardrobe, and my favorite season for this is spring.  As the days get longer and the temperatures climb, it’s time to bring out those sun-loving wedges, strappy heels and flat sandals.  I have a few go-to warm weather shoes, notably my piping-hot pink Fendi strappy heels and my Michael Kors platform wedges.  And while I have countless peep toe pumps and high heels that are great for work and nights out, I’m currently searching to add a few good pairs of everyday comfy shoes to my collection.

And when I say comfy, I’m not talking granny shoes.  I need these shoes to look hot and feel amazing, whether I’m at the office, out on the town or walking the dog.  I’m always on the lookout for shoes that are kind to my feet, especially in the warmer months when I’m more active and need my cute shoes to keep up with me.  There are a few brands I know I can trust for comfort and style, including Naturalizer, Clarks (they have some great wedges), and of course comfortable born shoes.  These Born wedges are really starting to call my name…you can’t beat the combination of natural cork and metallic leather!
