I’ve Got An Orange Crush!

I am totally smitten with these Jimmy Choo ‘Poppy’ sandals!  Okay, so they’re not all orange, but I love how the orange and pink straps intertwine and meet the yellow lucite heel for a delightful combination of colors.  A yellow dress allows the orange and pink in the shoes to stand out.  And what’s a summer party outfit without a charming hat and a fruity cocktail?

Bright orange shoes are going to be extremely hot this season, and I couldn’t be happier.  There’s something about the color orange that is oh-so-delicious and conjures up images of summer bliss – creamsicles, cocktails and sizzling beaches, just to name a few.  Orange denotes energy, warmth and the sun, and it is a stimulant for both the emotions and the appetite.  Orange demands attention without screaming, and at the same time it conveys a sense of well-being and cheerfulness.  The softer oranges such as peach are  friendlier and more soothing. Peachy oranges are less flamboyant than their redder cousins but still energetic.  The brighter oranges are a summer color – perfect conversation starters at summer parties.

Add a little splash of orange to your summer wardrobe for some fun in the sun!  Make sure you check out ShoeHunting’s quick guide to wearing orange shoes for some tips on how to pull it off.
